The early game saw the Piglets take on UHS-VU who sat 4 points behind us in 3rd position on the ladder, with an opportunity to assert ourselves and consolidate our place in the top 2.

The piglets started slowly, conceding early goals to UHS, but were able to work themselves back into the contest to trail by only 7 points at the first break. The second quarter continued to much the same tune as the first; the pigs were thereabouts in the contest again but failed to convert opportunities into scores, as the more efficient boys from Parkville went into the main break with a 14 point advantage.

Seeing the game slowly slipping away, it was time for the old heads to steady the ship. Premiership captains Graeme Brown and Nicholas Blyth were highlights in the 3rd quarter, combining with the ever-reliant Michael Dunn running through the midfield to great effect. The boys pegging back the margin to a solitary point going into the last change. With plenty of run in the legs and talent on the park, the boys were buoyed with enthusiasm going into the last quarter. The final stanza was tense, with UHS-VU slotting home the first, while inefficient kicking up forward made it hard for the Razorbacks. A running goal from a centre clearance for Michael Dunn put the Razorbacks back in front with only minutes to play, but 2 quick late goals for UHS-VU finished the contest off. The final margin just 2 straight kicks. Well done boys!

Highlights of the match included Dino Hadzic continuing his goal-kicking streak with another 2 majors, as D-Mac was also given an opportunity up forward with no result forthcoming. Roydon Hurst found himself playing on an older version of himself, and won the contest regardless of conceding at least 15kgs in the process. Graeme Brown also proved a crowd favourite, regardless of the high percentage of females in attendance for Ladies Day, while Matt Noonan's luscious blonde locks was also a talking point.
