Swinburne and Barton announce Partnership

Swinburne is thrilled to announce the signing of a new major sponsor on the eve of the 2022 season.

Barton Milk Bar is a great local cafe and situated on a picturesque corner just a few metres from St James Park on the corner of Barton and Denham Streets.

Providing excellent coffee and delicious food in a cosy converted former milk bar, Barton is the perfect place to catch up with friends over brunch, enjoy a quiet coffee while reading the paper or even grab a quick takeaway during a Razorbacks home game.

Announcing the plan, Razorbacks President Chris Webster stated “We are so happy to be linked to a great community minded local business that has such broad appeal.”

Owner James Laskie further stated “We were keen to sponsor the razorbacks because we want to support our community. We’re really excited to be part of this great club and wish them every success for the season. We look forward to the buzz in the cafe on game day”

It’s no wonder the Café chose to sponsor the Razorbacks, Barton’s staff love their footy, keeping note of some of the AFL stars who have ducked in over the years.

Barton’s partnership is part of their ongoing commitment to community causes. Last month the café was awarded a coveted Boroondara Community Award for outstanding contributions made to the local community.

Not content to rest of on their laurels, James, Cat and the Barton team decided to put the prize money they received for the award towards their sponsorship deal with Swinburne, once again demonstrating their commitment to the community remains stronger than ever.

Head down to Barton when you’re at the next Razorbacks home game and let them know the Razorbacks sent you.
